Dear Mom

Dear Mom

Hello, friends! Hello, Mom!

Today’s card is one I made especially for my mom for a milestone birthday. Mom, can I tell them? Or is that rude? I don’t know. I’m proud of every one of my years, and I think my mom feels the same about her wonderful longevity. I digress. On to the card:

I CASEd a card I made at Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy event this past fall. The original was a mini slim card. I made mine into an A2, changed up the colors slightly, and added a Candle Light from Pear Blossom Press behind the flame. I tested the light many times and it worked just fine until I got all the layers adhered together. Then the light wouldn’t stay on, so the “blow” direction was unnecessary. But I think my mom got a kick out of the card anyhow.

Here is a photo of the illumination when the “press” button is depressed. Excuse the condition of my hands and nails; it’s a hazard of having both job and hobby in paper crafting, LOL!

Isn’t this a fun card?! Show some love by leaving a comment. I have a feeling more of this type of card will be turning up more and more!

Supplies: Taylored Expressions card stock- Sea Salt, Dried Fig, Salt Water Taffy, and Potato Chip; Taylored Expression ink- Oyster; Taylored Expressions die sets- Birthday Candles and Tall Tales Alpha; Taylored Expressions stamps- Wonky Grid; Embellishments- TE Enamel Dots and Clay Stars.

Thank you for stopping by today!
